Permits on record is a good sign. It means the company pulled permits under its own name for roofing work in this city, and the city inspected that work.
Finding nothing is NOT a black mark. Plenty of legitimate roofers will not appear here. They may trade under a different legal name than the one on their truck, work mainly outside Bexar County, or work as a subcontractor under someone else's permit. A new company will have no history yet and still be perfectly good.
Read a blank result as "we found nothing under that spelling", never as "this company is bad". Ask them which entity name their permits are filed under, then search that.
Of the 9,700 re-roof permits on record, 4,314 name a company. The other 5,386 name only a person, most often a homeowner pulling a permit on their own house. Those are not published here and are not stored anywhere. No addresses are held either. This page knows company names and counts, nothing else.
